Wendy is an extremely versatile singer and performer. She is equally at home singing opera, oratorio, and operetta as she is with Broadway, jazz, and light rock. She has appeared in three full-length Italian operas (and counting), all 13 Gilbert and Sullivan operettas, several musicals, countless concerts and cabaret appearances, and numerous guest appearances with orchestras, jazz ensembles, and bands.

Wendy is currently a member of Opera Pro Cantanti in Vancouver. She will perform the role of Elvira in Bellini’s I Puritani starting in the spring of 2010. She will be making a guest appearance with the UBC Gilbert and Sullivan Society in December 2009. Since moving to BC in 2006, Wendy has appeared in productions with the North Shore Light Opera Society, Opera Appassionata, and Applause Musicals in Concert, as well as several concerts with the Sinfonia Orchestra of North Vancouver. Before moving to BC, Wendy performed regularly with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Toronto, St. Anne’s Music and Drama, St. Pat’s, and North Toronto Players. Her first opera role was Rosina in Rossini’s Barber of Seville with Toronto Opera Repertoire.

On the lighter side, Wendy sings jazz with Cosine, country rock with The Wild Palominos, easy listening with Lewis and Wade, and folk and light rock with 1.3.5. As an instrumentalist, Wendy enjoys playing piano, rhythm guitar, and light percussion with The Wild Palominos.

Wendy has recorded three CD’s:

• Noteworthy, featuring Broadway, operetta, and opera selections;
• Lewis and Wade Live, a double-CD collection of easy listening favourites; and
• The Barber of Seville, a live performance of the full opera in the original Italian, featuring Wendy singing the principal soprano role of Rosina.
